Prof Dr. Paul Teng
Prof. Dr. Paul Teng is Senior Consultant at the National Institute of Education International (NIEI), Singapore, and Senior Fellow and Advisor in Food Security at RSIS (S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies). He previously served as Dean and Managing Director of NIEI and held several senior leadership roles at NIE, contributing significantly to research growth, academic development, and regional visibility.
An agricultural scientist by training, Prof. Teng earned his PhD from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and First Class Honours in Agricultural Science from Lincoln College. Internationally recognised for his work on food security, plant pathology, and agricultural systems, he has published over 250 journal papers and eight books. He is a Fellow of multiple international scientific academies and has received prestigious awards, including the Eriksson Prize in Plant Pathology and an Honorary Doctor of Science from Murdoch University.
