General Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following academic entry requirements, subject to the applicable programme prerequisites:

Additional Mathematics Requirements

Applicants must meet the applicable Mathematics requirements:

  • A credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A credit in Mathematics and any one Science, Technology, or Engineering subject at SPM level or its equivalent. Candidates under this pathway must take and pass reinforcement Mathematics equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics, offered in the first semester or before enrolment under an unconditional offer.

Important Notes

  • Students must pass reinforcement Mathematics before taking related core courses. They may take subjects without a Mathematics prerequisite in the meantime.
  • Reinforcement Mathematics may contribute to overall graduating credits.
  • Matriculation or Foundation students may be exempted if their Mathematics qualification is equivalent to or higher than SPM-level Mathematics.
  • Applicants with other recognised qualifications must meet the applicable Mathematics equivalency conditions. Where required, reinforcement Mathematics must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment.

Students who do not meet the minimum English competency requirement will be offered English proficiency courses by the HEP to ensure sufficient proficiency for the programme.
