AWLUC Strengthens Partnership with Sarawak at Sambutan Hari Wanita Sarawak 2026

On 2 August 2026, Asian Women's Leadership University College (AWLUC) was invited to participate in the Sambutan Hari Wanita Sarawak 2026, a prestigious event celebrating the achievements and empowerment of women in Sarawak.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of a letter of intent for ongoing collaboration and partnership witt Yayasan Sarawak by the Premier  of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg., This collaboration aims to provide opportunities for Sarawakian students to pursue the Master of Arts in Leadership Development at AWLUC.

Representing AWLUC were Co-Founder and  Director Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sushila K. Chang who  were invited on stage to receive the letter of  collaboration witnessed by YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah the Sarawak Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development

Another proud moment during the celebration was the recognition of three Sarawakian students, who were awarded scholarships to pursue the Master of Arts in Leadership Development (MALD) programme at AWLUC. Their achievement reflects AWLUC's commitment to nurturing future women leaders and expanding access to quality higher education.

In  addition, AWLUC was given the opportunity to set up an exhibition booth throughout the event, where visitors learned more about the University's academic programmes, leadership-focused education, and scholarship opportunities.

AWLUC extends its heartfelt gratitude to YB Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Sarawak, for the warm invitation to be part of this meaningful celebration. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to participate in this significant event and are grateful for her unwavering support and dedication to empowering women through education, leadership, and community development.
